Just read an article on SI.com about Landis. The author states that one trick for a quick recovery is to slap a testosterone patch on your scrotum for 6 hours or less. He states this generally won't produce a positve test result and speeds recovery time after a brutal day. I really hope he didn't cheat, but this bit of info makes me wonder if the high testosterone level isn't all that strange after all.

i tried using scratch n sniff stickers instead. they don't work.

Perhaps he watched "The Warriors" before that particular stage. I know my testosterone levels are off the charts after watching it.
