I agree with this, which is exactly why there should not have been a bailout.

The market will get better after it hits bottom and it market can't bottom out if the government meddles.

How often do I need to tell you people....

Since 1948:

6 demo presidents elected 15.7% return
9 repub presidents elected 1.9%

When a repub is in charge and a mixed congress/house, or repub controlled 5.0%
When a demo is in charge and demos congrol congress 12.2%

This idea that republicans do better for the market is bull shit.

I would definitely say wars are a factor.

Because every time we have a republican in office, we declare war on someone.

Correction. We have not declared war since WW2. That's one among many sections in the Constitution we have ignored.
