SeattleUte has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default BTW, the stock market is not celebrating an Obama presidency

Speaks volumes.

Did it rally before or after '94?

Neither Obama nor McCain have won anything yet.

The market IS, however, tanking under the hand of GWB. Same with our currently economy. Housing. Government spending.

That dude is so lucky it is an election year because he has basically been given a free pass for the past 6 or 8 months. My guess is that Republicans are tired of defending him.

1992 - 1993

S&P 14.5%
DOW 13.9%
NASDAQ 36.3%

Not exactly a boom for the S&P and DOW but the NASDAQ did very well during that time. In any case it was not the doom and gloom you predicted.

I never predicted gloom and doom during teh Clinton administration, as he was a pure politician and would do whatever it took to make his legacy look good.

Obama is different. He really believes in his socialist policies.

'94 is when the Repubs gained the majority. I may not remember correctly, but it seems that the economy started to get going during Clinton's time when he worked with Repubs rather than his own party.

It did take off after 94 but pre-94 (when he has his power) was not abysmal.
