John 16:16

μικρὸν καὶ οὐκ τι θεωρε τ με καὶ π λιν μικρὸν καὶ ὄψεσθ με

Why do you think the KJV added, "because I go to the Father".

maybe it's an addition to the Latin version. Isn't the KJV a translation of the Greek that the Latin was translated into, or something like that?

Could be. I was just pondering if we can garner anything from this verse, or if this is an orthodox corruption of scripture.

It's a variant reading. The editors of Nestle-Aland left the phrase out of verse 16, though they include it in verse 17 when the disciples repeat it. It's a curious little editorial blip.
