WVU in, BYU out
http://espn.go.com/college-sports/st...-early-tuesday
Hardly worth commenting on. We already knew that there was no way BYU would be invited to the Big 12. |

BYU is the two bit whore, who fervently believes her suitor will take her out on a real date and go steady, but instead finds after every trick, he just reduces her pay.
Still hope springs eternal, BYU puts out enough for suitors to pretend to like her, when really, it's just a bunch of drunken sailors who would hump any two bit whore.

What's left of the Big East plans to meet with what's left of the Mountain West (aka WAC v3.0) and the C-USA, to discuss forming a 28-team league. It would have four divisions of seven teams each, with a four team playoff. Ideally the winner would get a BCS auto bid.
The notable teams in said conference are Boise State, Air Force, SDSU, Louisville, Cincinnati, and Connecticut. And 22 cans of tomatoes. http://espn.go.com/college-football/...-mountain-west 28 teams?!? Once of these days, all of the conferences will merge, creating a 118-team superconference, with Notre Dame and BYU independent. |

And now ... maybe not.
http://espn.go.com/college-sports/st...ld-reports-say Good grief. There is no way that anyone with any position of power in the Big 12 comes out looking good after this weeks-long debacle. That conference is a joke. And oh, don't we want to be a part of it.

The Big XII has a great sports product and the affiliated organizations make a lot of money along the way.
The management appears disorganized as might be expected with a group of egotistical organizations. The PR makes the Big XII look temporarily bad. But its positives outweigh the negatives.

I'm not so sure. Clearly quality of opponents is good and BCS money is good. But if reports like this from Holmoe are true ...

That statement condemns TH as much as the Big XII. In these times, you can sit passively waiting for a response. He should be keeping all options open and finding out what happened.
