Winchell's Donuts
Does anybody remember the Winchell's that used to be in Provo? It was on University Ave. near Provo High. As a kid, I thought it was the biggest treat to stop at there on gameday. It was much better than Glazie's or Krispy Kreme. When did it close down? Mid-nineties?

Winchell's was great. We had a family tradition to go there every fast sunday. We each got 2 donuts. It's the only time in my life that I enjoyed fast sunday

I didn't even know it was a chain. I thought it was just a local joint.

Winchell's ruled. I spent lots of money at the one in Sandy on 7th East and about 9400 South.

Donuts make cops happy. A happy cop is less likely to give you a ticket.
