They preached it quite a bit in accounting and economics classes at the Y. Seems to be the model for the Church's own micro credit program.

My company is involved in microfinance overseas quite a bit. It truly is helping to change the world and shift some power, albeit small power, to the poor rural farmers and those with few resources. It has also created great opportunities for these people as well as large corporations and others to start making some good money and make a difference.
