I feel your pain. I grew up at around 6500 feet or so, give or take, but I never made it to the top of Timp because I'd always start puking just before the final ascent. Much, much worse than food poisoning (had that too).

the 3rd one is a picture of a walkway over a spring-fed wetland area (created by beavers) a few hundred feet from the Rio Grande.

Bodies of water created by beaver dams are cool. Many times in my adventures in the high Uintas I wish that I'd had a camera with me when I came across one.

Someday, I will take my family to visit your part of the world. I'd like to visit as many National Parks as I can, because the photo opportunities are endless in these places.
