Mike's original point was to dispute those who said that waterboarding was not a form of torture. Is there anybody left who will still argue that?
Whether torture at all is appropriate or not under any circumstances is a different question, which seems to be the one under the microscope now.

Well, I challenge you to be
put to death and see how you like it.
It is nice to know it isn't the torture you mind, it is the arbitrary means by which it is used. Perhaps you would like someone like Michael Moore to be the judge of who deserves it and who doesn't. |

If Mike agrees to this proposal, I will publicly agree to be waterboarded.

However, it does introduce a question for those sensitive to extraordinary interrogation techniques as to what forms of psychological pressures are appropriate. I suspect somebody with a full belly, who has never experienced close death to due violence of another, can sit sipping Cafe lattes and come to a different conclusion than a forty year CIA veteran.

We are trying to define torture
I vote that reading some of Mike's posts should be described as torture.

I actually wonder how long I could withstand it. Drowning is not a pleasant occurrence. I doubt I'd last only fourteen seconds, but the two minute mark sounds impressive.

You're accusing someone else of losing points for originality? LOL. Cross-reference the 2nd post in this thread.

We could still do this with you, get some media. And then we could get your take on it. And you could be "undecided" and presumably after your experience you could say "yeah, that is torture" or "no, a little unpleasant, but not torture."
