no, there is not currently a chat function.

We could do something like this:

http://www.texasphotoforum.com/forum/flashchat.php

But I don't know that it would be really used?

It didn't seem like the last one was ever used. One of the problems is knowing if anyone is actually IN chat.

Very cool set up Mike. I like the improvements. I am glad you are catering to me and my likes and dislikes.

Hey Mike,

I really like the threaded mode, since it allows me to more quickly review all of the posts in a thread. However, the "more replies below current depth" thing is driving me nuts. Seems silly to have to click on this each time I want to expand a thread. Is this a setting that can be changed?

Thanks in advance.

I think it should work more to your liking now. It's set to show threads at least 15 deep before asking you to click to see more.

What's the deal with this Mike? As far as I can tell, it has to do with # of posts but I'm not exactly sure how many.

as of now, "junior member" et al. refer to your number of posts. 250 and 500 being the cutoffs. I may change it to different titles, or different numbers in the future.
