I have donated $50 of cougarguard donations to Ewth8tr's run in honor of his mother who died of breast cancer, benefiting the American Cancer Society.

It's not that much money, but then again, the site doesn't really make much money.

Let me address JL's point directly:

1. I want people to know that Cougarguard really does believe in the mantra "do no evil", unlike a large internet company we know.

2. I want people to know that this site is not comercial, which is very much unlike cougarboard, where El Jefe views it as a business first, and a community second. By not including advertisements on this site, I have easily missed out on hundreds of dollars if not more. That's peanuts compared to CB, and of course whether my children eat or not does not depend on the advertising here. It's a choice I make (though things may change in the future, if costs mount).

3. Advertising good works is a way of encouraging further good works. I would encourage all of you, if you feel so inclined, to donate to Ewth8tr's fund, so that he can meet his goal, and honor his Mother.

4. It's very liberal of you Johhny to interpret the worst possible thing you can. Don't conservatives like to encourage private charity, and give people the benefit of the doubt?

I heartily support Mike's generosity, and am glad we do donate from time to time. I need to support ewt if he can accept checks as my paypal has been corrupted.
