Default people who complain about foul calls in stake bball

I have a theory. That those who bitterly complain about foul calls, when they in fact played atrociously, are not very successful in other domains of their life.

The successful person is able to roll with the punches, see things for what they are, account for his own failing, and adjust.

"Dude, stop talking about the refs. You played like a dog."

Who complains about fouls in church ball? Of course I never played church ball so what do I know.

I do complain about officiating in youth soccer, so maybe I suck too. The officiating is very disparate, and one hopes to see the kids get a fair playing field.

I refed church ball for a season when I lived in Provo and your assessment is generally true. I wouldn't limit it to just those who are unskilled at basketball as I also hate talented whiners.

I had a special distaste for the players' wives who would come to the game and loudly complain about officiating. What is missing in their lives that made church basketball so important?

I like your theory.

I would surmise that these are the same people who complain about officiating of a college football game after their team wins.

I have actually stopped playing church ball because of all of the complaining babies that play. It just got too sucky to keep playing and listen to the whining.
