Obama was 8 pts ahead after his convention. Everyone figured it would be at least that or more. It is 6-8 now, so I don't get how the Palin pick has hurt McCain in the polls.
Next, you better believe the base is more enthused about this pick than they would have been with most other picks. You don't always excite the voter with the most qualified person. Obama has proven that.
