It would seem that if any two teams should get booted, it would be SDSU and UNLV.

SDSU is actually considering dropping football altogether. There is so little interest in the team that every year they lose over two million dollars. Throughout the rest of division one, college football is usually the cash cow that allows universities to afford all of the Title IX programs and doozies like volleyball and skiing.

SDSU really is the most pathetic program in the country. They're located in one of the most ideal cities in the U.S. and they're right in the middle of great football talent. There is no reason, other than incompetence, that Wyoming, CSU, AFA, and UNM all have better programs than SDSU. |

Maybe SDSU will never be a Utah or BYU, but there's no excuse for not regularly being in the top third of the MWC. |

Yeah here is an article about the resolution to abolish football:
http://www.signonsandiego.com/sports...s27azfoot.html That was in September, and the faculty vote was negative. But the point is that this is an issue that keeps returning to the table. |

I'm for bringing Boise St. into the fold, if they still want to come. Its a strong program with the potential to bring $$ into the conference(as opposed to just spending it like the current bottom 3 or 4 in the conference).
