I think what we see is the same thing, but from a different perspective. You seem to see the BSC as a step toward a playoff, while I see it as a step away from a playoff.

At least with the polls, the number one ranked team could defend it's ranking and not worry about a computer saying that it may be ranked #1, but it's not the best team.
