But that theory wasn't saying that God was both a man and a woman, rather he talked about the plurarity of Gods and how that "God" was really "Gods" and thus Heavenly Father and Mother were involved in the creation.

Hardly blasphemous or revelotionary Mormon thought.

What I meant to say was God is a man and a woman joined together.

That doesn't really tell us anything about why he was exed, but it may help explain the millieu he was living in.
if he was part of the September Six it seems like they started ex'ing anyone publishing anything remotely related to Heavenly Mother.

The divine feminine is unmentionable, unacknowledgeable.

I wonder how Joseph Smith would feel about that.

Default By far the best beginning source ...

... which in my opinion is his best book anyway, is "The Last Days: Types and Shadows from the Bible and Book of Mormon" That book is a keeper, and for me is a classic, as I have read it 4 times probably. The soft part of the book is some of the initial stuff when he discusses idolatry. But the rest is fascinating.

After that read "Isaiah Decoded." Then you will have gotten the full gist of Gileadi pretty well.

Is that the one where he says organized sports is idolatry?

Only people who suck at sports believe organized sports is idolatry.
