Default Knocked Up

Just got back from the late show.

It was raunchy as all get out, but VERY funny. Surprisingly has a sweet side to it as well.

For those easily offended avoid, for those otherwise go and have yourself some hearty laughs.

The wife and I went on Saturday night and it was very entertaining. Yes, the language was rather rough...but not as rough as '40 year old Virgin.' It had some truly laugh out loud moments.

Katherine Heigl (who is a mormon) was one that I was not expecting much out of...but she was actually very good, very funny and very believable. There are some slightly slower moments (others would term these as the 'sweet' parts of the movie), but was still very good. Paul Rudd in his role is also very entertaining. Thumbs up.

Active mormon?

That was a pretty raunchy sex scene.

Raised as a mormon, not active.

Cool

Knocked Up's argument scenes were a little too realistic to be funny. No one was right in the fights but everyone lost. It was a little too cruel in it's humor (Like Rogen's comment to his friend at the birthday party). Just unnecessary meanness throughout a lot of it with no laughs to be gained in the tradeoff. No morals really either or sudden realization's that change the characters for the better.

In short, it was nowhere near the level of classic humor of The 40-Year Old Virgin or Anchorman.
