I hope this sentence disqualifies me from every having any senior position in the church, even at the local level.

Let's say you are made bishop by a SP with a sense of humor because of and not despite your impressive posting history here. What exactly would you do to change the church's 'structural' approach to women? How would being a bishop put you in position to urge or cause structural changes?

I wouldn't stop there I would change thinks so all the membership have more of a voice instead of solely 15 men in Salt Lake City. and at a local level your just your stake president and bishop.

I would have to be a GA or possibly an apostle to get anything substantive done.

My LDS Church would look a lot like this:

Nonresponsive. The question was likely avoided because there has been no thought as to a solution, only whining about a perceived problem.

I would do, for one, what Mitt Romney did when he was stake president (under pressure from women in his stake). Have traveling women speakers in wards, equivalent to High Council.

What will we say, I wonder, when our growth rate slows down to the birth rate. It has really be declining for a number of years.

Nothing wrong with that idea. Fifty years ago we certainly didn't hear any female voices standing at the pulpit in the Tabernacle during General Conf.
