What do you all think of them reading Kafka's "The Trial"?
One of the most important, least-read books. |

If you read Der Process, or the Trial, also read der Traum, or the short story, the Dream, which some argue should be included as part of it. Brod organized it, but subsequent research suggests he misorganized it, and left out the Dream. Kafka focuses upon the human condition, existence and Jewishness in his works, often viewed as parables. He's weird but brilliant. As an aside, maybe we'd all like to read the Trial, as that work is fascinating. One of the reasons why it's often avoided, is Kafka didn't consider it finished and never wanted it published.
