Cali Coug has a little shameless behaviour in the past
Default Abortoin not an automatic disqualifier for McCain's VP

While this is good to hear, I am puzzled about why he would say it at this point. He is already out of favor with many of the evangelicals, and statements like this certainly aren't going to get the base out to vote in droves. McCain needs to figure out who he is trying to appeal to in this election and send a consistent message. Or not. I prefer not.

he doesn't really want to win or he would be playing hardball. He compliments Obama consistently.

It would not surprise me that some medical 'thang' comes up and he doesn't end up running. Or the Repubs want him to get drubbed and have Obama have a disastrous presidency so that they can retake the government for another 12-16 years.

catering to the christian right isn't going to win this for him. He needs the swing states.
