C,mon BG, 85%? We do have families, we go to church, and we live in diverse communities. It's highly likely that everyone here has a close relative and/or friend that one could classify as poor. I even remember nights that all we had for dinner was bread and milk. But it never made my parents Dems. It just made my mother determined that her kids would prepare to do better than her. I hope Biden was imagining my family as he road that train back and forth.
The economic numbers just don't support the Dems' portrayal of America. For example, unemployment is what? 5%? That's always been considered full employment. Europe would kill for that number. 71 is right. Why don't Dems just come out and say it. They want to redistribute our wealth. Enough with the scattered thoughts of a Senator increasing his carbon footprint exponentially by riding the train back and forth from Deleware to Washington each day.

Give 'em Hell, Cougars!!! Religion rises inevitably from our apprehension of our own death. To give meaning to meaninglessness is the endless quest of all religion. When death becomes the center of our consciousness, then religion authentically begins. Of all religions that I know, the one that most vehemently and persuasively defies and denies the reality of death is the original Mormonism of the Prophet, Seer and Revelator, Joseph Smith. |

Dallas ISD is 4% white, and 89% economically disadvantaged. Yeah, you're right. Parents in Davis have an inkling of what it would be like to have their kids in Dallas ISD. schoolmatters.com |

Davis would not be classified as among the poorer districts. In fact, lots of people consider Davis county the "northern bubble". Though a lot of Hill AFB people are in Davis so that could explain the 24%. And why are we comparing one of the worst inner-city districts anyway? Why you would choose to live in a school district where 89% are economicaly disadvantaged is beyond me ... but it's your life.

Like in all battles of moment, when the hard times came, many left. Some didn't. And the ones that left called the ones who stayed fools. The ones who left, as you rightly point out, can never understand the hearts of those who stayed. |
