He has been "corrected" by Steve Schmidt & his campaign handlers. The "straight talkin" McCain of 2000 would probably be nauseated by McCain '08, which is perhaps the most disappointing thing in this election.

The obvious implication is that people who have mayors and governors for short periods of time are not qualified to be president.
