am I that no Republican president can receive the unprofessional unabashed cheerleading of the national and regional press, such as the Chicago or Miami papers illustrate. Sadness, unrelated to this event, makes it unwatchable.

The last inauguration I watched was in 1980. Another I won't watch. The pageantry and biased coverage will be too much.

Coverage will say, Obama inaugurated in historic moment, yada yada yada. Obama annointed Savior of the World.

Are Obama and Tebow brothers?

Of the several networks that will be covering the event, why don't you watch it on Fox News, it's a sure thing to have the likes of Sean Hannity crying anti-elephant material all day long. That may balance things out to your liking. Turn it into a drinking game with names like Kenneth Starr.

Why would I watch a coronation? I believe I have a root canal that's scheduled for Tuesday. Every presidential inauguration is a historic moment, in that history records them. Or are we talking about person of elitist education and a product of a corrupt partisan machine rising to power being historic? That sounds like the same old story. Color me unimpressed another day. We Americans are mighty self-absorbed with our self-declared historic moments.

I'm still jealous the press ejaculates all over Obama or Clinton yet gives even Reagan or Eisenhower short shrift. :-)
