Fantastical dream scenario for BYU conference realignment
BYU gets shut out of Pac 10. That's a given.
BYU not taken in the Big 12, for whatever reason. No expansion. Or maybe no Sunday play. The religious forces in the Catholic church decide that Notre Dame will form a new conference, and they ask BYU to join as well as a founding member, due to religious alliance in the political arena. A new national conference, composed of willing partners. Yes, I will daydream on this a while. Yesh......... |

BYU may be rendered irrelevant due to the Sunday play issue. Some may be proud of that. I am not.

I was thinking of the conference having many of Notre Dame's rivals. Notre Dame, BYU, Navy, USC, Michigan, Ohio State, Texas, UCLA, maybe a couple more, take your pick.

so a really crappy division, and an awesome one? Also you didn't give Texas a rival.
