Last year, I was nervous but actually expected unwisely so, BYU to shed the FSU monkey from its back.
This year I'm almost certain BYU will be crushed. So, when one expects annihilation it is frequently not as bad as one should expect. However, that BYU team that faced AFA looked completely incompetent, without any redeeming virtue. And although Nelson has a slight experience edge over Heaps, Nelson has nothing and would not even start for USU. Speaking of USU, I am horribly uncomfortable with that game. This seems to be the year when everybody gets their revenge against BYU. I hope Bronco is a better coach than that, but I don't see any long term advantage to a transfer from a lower school. Now, if Heaps is worse at this stage, I can understand, but lets take our lumps now rather than later. Nelson is a nonstarter.

it's not beyond the pale that we could lose to both utah State and Nevada.

Imagine if BYU continues to lose until it meets New Mexico, not entirely out of the range of possibilities.
If Bronco loses his sainthood for how he handles this team, what next?
