Today, it is time for a reality check: going undefeated is very hard. BLUE COUGAR FOOTBALL reached out to former BYU football players to help explain to Coach Mendenhall and the 2011 football team what makes going undefeated so hard.

Hard not to laugh out loud at that statement. As if Mendenhall needs anyone to explain to him what makes an undefeated season hard.

You would think that Mendenhall doesnt need it, but after what happened in 2008 with the Quest, I am surprised that he is talking publicly about a national championship.

Go ahead and talk about it all you want internally, but not a peep to the media and other outsiders.

The brouhaha over the "Quest" was just plain stupid. As if there's any team doesn't try to win all their games.

I see nothing wrong with vocally stating lofty goals, and I'm glad to see Mendenhall doesn't take any of the nonsensical criticism to heart. In fact, I think he revels in it.
