Default Request to SEIQ for more info on Mormon Intellectualism

SIEQ: (sorry for the goof in the title)

You said in previous post:

"You ask for evidence as every Sunday goes by with little or no evidence of the intellectual approach in most Church meetings (and with intellectuals being encouraged to self-censor or be punished in the eyes of their fellow parishioners)."

I'm still not understanding the concept of "intellectual approach" the way you define it. I remember reading your post where you had copied the text from a sacrament talk you gave. I went back and reread, and while it's a fine sacrament talk, I didn't decipher any notable difference (other than the academic style, i.e. using formal, written language and not informal, spoken language) than what I hear on Sundays quite often. Can you point out the examples of "intellectual approach" you used in the talk?
