How good are our guards?
In conference games, these are the combined averages for Ainge, Balderson, Rose.
Pts: 24.2 Reb: 7.6 A: 7.7 TO: 4.7 3 pt %: 49% I'd need comparison data, but I'm thinking this kind of guard play is not that bad. |

Another look with a comparison point
This is Ainge/Rose/Baldy adjusted to a per 40 minutes stat and compared to MWC averages for starting point and 2 guards for the past few years. points: 26.8 reb: 8.4 a: 8.5 TO: 5.2 a:TO ratio 1.64 3 point %: 49% MWC avg points: 27.4 reb: 8.1 a: 7.6 to: 6.2 a:to ratio 1.23 3 point %: 34% It would be more interesting comparing to tournament teams or Sweet 16 teams, but I like this comparison. Compared to avg MWC teams they hold their own in scoring, take care of the ball, and are opening up the middle with three point shooting. |
