Dang, if I'd known that was a personal attack I would've tried much harder.

Gays will take a little longer. They will eventually get it and missionaries 100 years from now will still be facing questions about the church's past bigotry. They will respond by telling people to live in the now and forget the past. |

Non-practicing gays. This is obviously a guess on my part, but I'd be willing to wager that if 100 men told their bishop in a temple recommend interview that they thought about dongs all day, but didn't act on the thoughts, at least 90 would walk away without a temple recommend. On the other hand, if 100 men told the Bishop that they had impure thoughts about women, but didn't act on them, 90 would get the recommend.

Question for those who feel the gay lifestyle will never be embraced in church doctrine, is that because you believe the church leaders view homosexuality is an abomination?
If that is the case, take note that in the past, many church leaders felt the black man carried the curse of Cain and had no place in God's kingdom. But after the social prejudices against blacks were lifted (for the most part anyway), the church eventually followed. |
