If you have time for a hobby, then you must not have a responsible calling in the church.

that is what I have learned, unfortunately.

Default Big day planned but...

We were going to do a couple of up and backs up in the Targhee forest. The first was a gradual twenty two mile climb and the second was a twenty mile climb to Mesa Falls and back. So I'm twelve miles into the first one, beautiful view of the Tetons, uncrowded road, low 60's, very light wind and then I break a spoke. I nursed it back to the cars came home and mowed my lawn. I'm bummed.

I had a great weekend.

Saturday I ran a tri on two hours sleep. (came in last in my age group but then who's counting!) Today mowed the lawn, weeded and remulched the flower beds, uprooted two dead trees.

And, under ominous cloud cover at Lowes, I managed to throw eight 40# bags of mulch in the car, plus load junior and the wheelchair between the time an outflow boundary hit and the rain started. (Sorry...just threw that in for Gerdy.)

Oh, and, I got a couple of really great hugs from my little guy.

Now I'm watching the Tony Awards. Haven't seen so many grown men cry since the St. Louis onion festival.
