Reviewing the 2006 NBA Draft
http://www.nbadraft.net/2006.asp
Here is a link to the 2006 NBA Draft. After a year, IMO here are the winners from the draft. Winners: Portland Trailblazers Big winners here. Getting Brandon Roy, LaMarcus Aldredge and Sergio Rodriguez, all three guys who will be starters and then when you pair them with Greg Oden from this years draft, that is probably the youngest and most talented team in the league. Huge shame on Atlanta, Charlotte and Boston for all passing on Brandon Roy. WHAT were you thinking?!? Chicago Bulls While Tyrus Thomas didn't come in and dominate, he showed some potential. And Thabo Sefolosha looks to be a guy who can contribute on the wing. Not as big of winners as the Trailblazers, but Chicago gets two guys who should contribute in Chicago for a long time. Utah Jazz Again, added 3 guys who should see time in their rotation for a while. Ronnie Brewer has the potential to be an athletic wing that the Jazz have lacked for some time. And looking at who was taken after him, it looks like the Jazz made the right pick there. And Dee Brown looks like he might emerge into a decent back-up for Deron Williams. But the real steal of the entire draft was the Jazz landing a guy name Paul Millsap in the second round. Millsap earned every ounce of playing time that he get, as it was impossible for the Jazz to keep him off the floor. He certainly had more of an impact than guys taken ahead of him, like Shelden Williams, Patrick O'Bryant, Hilton Armstrong and Cedric Simmons. |
