I just wish Mike Huckabee would have told me who to support after he conceded the race because I'd hate to have to think for myself. My pastor tells me no good can come from independent thinking. I also agree that Obama wouldn't be dumb enough to be Mrs. Clinton's VP. That would be political suicide, as she would throw him under the bus every chance she could.

The only think I would disagree with the writer - and it's not really a disagreement, but more of an amendment to make his comment more true - would be that yes, it is possible that the recession could continue if McCain is elected - first, the economy just happens despite who is in office and I mock his being so sure it would continue - but the economy would get worse and worse if either Mrs. Clinton or Obama is elected. What they are proposing is socialism - yes, Cali, despite your objection, it is socialism - is much too expensive because government mandated business decisions never work. (Just ask the former Soviet Union).

It isn't my objection, Il Pad. It is the dictionary's and the English language's. But keep fighting the good fight. And the government mandates business decisions all the time that work. In fact, they facilitate capitalism in many instances.

Very few government mandates are positive. Most are a hindrance and punish people who do what they need to do to survive.
