Very few government mandates are positive. Most are a hindrance and punish people who do what they need to do to survive.
What "money" are you talking about? All money? The government doesn't decide that. Most money? Still doesn't decide that. Some money through taxes? Yes, they decide that, through the peoples' representatives. Are you really going to argue that any state that controls a portion of the money through the government is a socialist state?

And, for the record, socialism is NOT about the state deciding who gets the money. It IS about the state owning the means of production (which can contribute to the state deciding "who gets money"). This is basic political science.

I also don't know why you keep blaming me for the definition of socialism. Consult with Webster. I didn't make this up. You are starting to sound like McCain. You DID support timetables for withdrawal!

Yes, I looked it up and it's exactly what I have said it is:

1.a theory or system of social organization that advocates the vesting of the ownership and control of the means of production and distribution, of capital, land, etc., in the community as a whole.

How the hell have I been wrong when you read that?

What does the government own in either of Obama's or Clinton's plan? What are the means of production they own? If the government owned the means of production, they wouldn't have anything to mandate. The health care system would be theirs, for example. They would own all hospitals. All doctors would work for them. THAT is socialism.

When in the world have you said anything at all similar to the above? Do you want to go back and re-read what I said socialism was to compare?

Fine.

Clinton and Obama are Marxists. Their programs will lead to socialism.

Is that better?

I don't think you understand these concepts.

While we are just making stuff up, how about Bush and Cheney are anarchists?

How about I just say this:

If I have to pay more taxes, it is evil and wrong.

So tell me then, are Clinton and Obama capitalists?

Of course they are capitalists. And paying taxes isn't evil. Show me any scripture to the contrary. Mormons go crazy on mingling economic policy with doctrine, despite Christ's clear teachings to the contrary.

When have I ever said paying taxes is evil?

I just don't want to pay the extra taxes that will be levied upon us by a Clinton or Obama administration - and there is nothing evil about me wanting to have more money to take care of my family.
