Last I checked he was scoring about 14 ppg, grabbing about 6.5 rpg and shooting over 50% from the field for his JC. He also is reputed to be the defensive stopper, he covers the opponents best perimeter threat. I think he will be similar to a poor mans Lee Cummard. Similar player, just not as good. Will likely be about as good a scorer as Jimmy Balderson is this year and a much, much better defender.

I think he will start, but I will be surprised if he scores more than 7-8 ppg.

Defensively, next year's team could be adequate. Offensively, Plaisted needs to improve. But it may be interesting.

Team chemistry will be interesting to watch as we won't have a go-to guy.

Starting lineup:

Jimmer Fredette
Jonathan Tavernari
Lee Cummard
Trent Plaisted
Jean Carlos Otero

Keep in mind BYU is likely to sign 1-2 more players after the season in March/April...both likely JC guys.
I don't see where the other scholarships will come from.

Murdock is already on scholarship and I doubt BYU takes it away from him.
Perhaps they will not award one to Gavin MacGregor and or perhaps Vuk quits and gets on with his life, will Vuk graduate this April?

From what I can gather these kids have scholarships to BYU next year:

Lamont Morgan
Fredette
Murdock
Burgess
Cummard
Otero
Tavernari
Collinsworth
Miles
Plaisted
Vuk
Anderson

That is 12 with a question as whether or not Gavin is awarded a scholie. I can see BYU offering one more JC transfer, and not offering a scholie to MacGregor, or perhaps Vuk quitting and Mac getting his and then BYU offering one more. But I think the rest of those scholies are spoken for unless somebody who I think is coming ends up not coming.

When did Murdock get a schollie and why? I'll never understand the practice of giving walk-ons a schollie once they're in the program unless they become a star in their underclass years, such as a Criddle.
