I think bikinis are awesome on Brooke Burke (yes, Junkie, I already know....)

I dont think they are awesome on random wife in my ward who wears it to ward swim party.
Seriously, a tankini? Do they even know what a tankini is?

I assure you, I have unwittingly revealed more in a one-piece (to my future husband) than I have in my tankini.

When I wear my bikini I like turning heads. Don't leer, please, but appreciation is welcome.

This is a story I'd like to hear. If Farrah won't tell it, Mike will you?

This is very cultural, but I am certain, with no disrespect to your beloved husband that you wear it smashingly well.

But a question, as I was speaking to a female acquaintance from Brazil, who complained rather vociferously that American men were too embarrassed to look a girl up. I inquired as to her meaning, to which she responded that Brazilian women appreciate the stares. I sadly explained that American women prefer to be ignored unless one is Matt Damon, Matthew McGaunahey (sp?) or somebody else deemed desirable.

Needless to say, I told her I'll make her feel more welcome.

But I really ask a serious question:

Don't we feel that our church culture unnecessarily demeans the human form, when in reality it's quite beautiful, without necessarily being the subject of pornea?

Why are we, except for branding purposes, always behind and prudish, when during JS's day, we were more trendsetters?

Wouldn't there be a way of promoting health, appreciation for the body without worshiping it?

It does bother me, as a man, that men, inspired as they may be, set the cultural standards for women.

And Mike accuses me of chauvinism and misogyny, but is my impression that offensive to you LDS women?

It's still the rule. My daughters debated this rule thoroughly.

Ladies, the anti-tankini rule is not mine, dont shoot the messenger.

One-pieces are only good for a quick shot if you bend over in front of the guy...even then, you only get to see the tops of the mountains, maybe a little bullseye if you are lucky. No big thing.

A tankini for mothers in my ward freaks me out. I dont want to see it. In some cases, I would prefer a burka for them.

At the pool I swim, I wish none of them wore bikinis. I've never seen so much fat and dimpled legs.

Ask Gidget about her little show and tell in her tankini last week. I think the no tankini thing is stupid.

Default I like a bikini on the right shape but

bikinis are not flattering to most women. A nice skimpy bikini is nice on the right shape of woman but too many are fooling themselves by taking the plunge.

Same goes for bare mid-drift tops. Too many women have a belly that should be covered.
