Default Cougarmom's experiencing the phenomenom

Cougarmom's experiencing the phenomenom of how we treat graduated players.

http://www.cougarboard.com/nologin/m...tml?id=2881018

The backup is usually better than the starter, but the newly appointed starter is always better than the guy who graduated last year.

I was ripped apart on CB back in the day for criticizing current players and coaches but the good homer will always rip on former players and coaches--especially to prop up the current ones.

For the record, Curtis was better than Fui last year and I don't expect Fui to be more valuable than Curtis this year. I won't be shocked if he is but I'm not expecting it.

I think she kept it a secret to "stick it" to Cougarboard.

She sure showed them...

There is a problem with parents who read and post on a sports board. They contribute a lot, but if they are passionate about their kid, which they should be, it can be quite upsetting if someone doesn't see the kid in the same light.

Curtis was one of the best Cougars we ever had. As a RB he did it all. As a team leader he was great. As a representitive of BYU, he was tremendous. On top of all that he joined the church, which elevated him beyond the regular great football player.

All that being said, there will be those who will debate how good he really was. That's is what happens on a sports board.

As a parent reading the board you just have to think those debating there are better players than your kid are idiots and the ones agreeing with you are the real genius's.

Has a parent posting on Cougarboard ever ended well?

Not that I can think of. Parents are better off posting on TBS. Those with dissenting or opposing views are quickly shut down.

Convert. Exception to the rule.

It is pretty amazing that we can so easily shrug off the leading rusher of BYU history as though we won't miss him.
