Hitchcock -- The Rope

Been watching a little bit of the AMC Hitchcock week. Watched The Rope again. Great flick and totally cool to do the whole thing in one set. The coolest part which I had forgotten is the scene where the key conversation is unfolding just barely off camera as the camera watches the table/coffin and the cleaning woman going back and forth and nearly opening it up on accident. Brilliant.

That film has a ridiculously long cut. The camera pans across the room and back again, pauses at different points but never cuts. The film feels very claustrophobic and it's intentional.
