How can you leave Warriors & Planes, Trains and Automobiles off that list?

I was thinking serious movies. If you add comedies, Waiting for Guffman would definitely go on my list.

Waiting for Guffman did not deserve an R in any way.

I really liked most of the movies on this list. I especially enjoyed the Godfathers, Punch Drunk Love, Usual Suspects and Leaving Las Vegas.

In no particular order I would add Royal Tennenbaums, Lebowski, Apocalypse Now, Platoon, and Rambo I-III (where I first discovered the intrigue of Rated R movies).

This is such a stupid thread. It would only make sense among dorky Mormons. 90% of the best movies are R rated.
