Get the cheaper one in that second link. It's no easier to get your butt on the trainer than it is to get it out on the road. A $129 dust collector will make you feel less guilty than a $300 dust collector. Trust me, I speak from experience.

The first one would be fun to use and may increase your motivation to get on the bike, but as far as fuctionality goes, the second one is just as good.
I've got the performance version of the $129 one and it does just fine. My only gripe is that is does not have quite enough resistance to get a good hard workout. Its great for spinning and sprints though. |

thank you! i just want to stay in the groove of riding.. i found that when i was riding consistently my eating habits were much better and i was happier. not to mention i want to lose some weight and mantain.. i'm back up to 182... if i could get down to 170 i'd be great.
i hope the 3 1-hour carmichael dvds and the 15 hours or whatever of the magnificent 7 will help me ride... i'm pretty motivated right now, but we'll see what happens after a couple rides...
