Default audio book rental?

Has anyone ever used such a service, kind of like netflix, but for audio books? I'm looking to give a membership to my dad, but there are several out there and I'd like a recommendation.

I know nothing, but let me know what you decide. I have a stack of audiobooks on the shelf that weren't cheap but that I doubt I'll ever listen to again. Renting would be a great option.
