I don't have a problem with the press asking Romney to explain how his religious beliefs will impact his potential presidency. And I could see reasonable voters not wanting to vote for someone who refuses to answer those questions.

Neither do I, but I could write better responses to those questions than the answers he's providing.

But I wonder if enough Americans read or care about Slate or Chris Hitchins and other similar viewpoints for this type of perspective to make a difference.

Remember, the masses are asses (thank you whoever it was who gave me that quotation). I recently saw a poll of the most imortant Britons in history and Lady Di was no. 3, ahead of Newton, Darwin, Shakespeare, and many other giants of British history and Western Civ.

I like how Freddie Mercury and Boy George are ahead of Tony Blair. Those Brits take their music pretty seriously.

Well, this guy clearly has an axe to grind against Mormons, so no one should take this dip*hit seriously anyway. But as S.U. stated, the masses are asses, so....
