I WILL travel to New Zealand.

And I WILL climb Mount Doom.

That is all.

Hopefully I don't bump into you on your connecting flight to Mordoor.

NZ is fabulous and so is Australia. Fusnik, you need a lot more than 4 days to see the place, however. Our last trip there was three weeks and we barely scratched the surface.

IF you are really going there and want feedback on anything, let me know. The LOTR scenery is impressive but, as you may know, all of the sets (save a part of Hobbiton) are gone. When we were in Queenstown we took a tour for the kids that was focused on LOTR. The van would drive for a while and stop in front of some spectaular scenery and the guide would assert it was the backdrop for some scene in the second film, or some such, and, really, who could tell? It was all pretty spectacular and who knows if it wasn't in the film?

Either way I strongly encourage you to go and to stay as long as you can.

I just realized this is in the arts forum and after reading the follow up messages I suddenly feel like I might have missed somethign altogether (especially given how few movies and TV I see).

What is this thread all about really?

Yes, it was a most excellent episode of the Office last night.

No New Zealand, but I'm really looking forward to the Star Trek Convention this year. William Shatners supposed to make a surprise visit.

That, plus the family reunion in Applegate, Oregon.
