Two movie reviews
Charlie Wilson's War: Very entertaining. Best part of the movie was when the Afghans were blowing Soviet helicopters out of the sky to the score of Handel's Messiah. Unfortunately the two heroes were Texans, which made it seem unrealistic.
Walk Hard: Not very funny at all. Save your money. |

Did you see Juno yet? Curious to get your take on it.
I saw it before and posted by review. I thought it was okay....not fantastic, not that great (soundtrack aside). Many now are saying it is brilliant. Wondering if I missed something. I thought the most redeeming thing about it was the lead actress....she is about 16 and she is great. But I wasnt overwhelmed by the movie itself

Ditto Alvin and the Chipmunks. I won't bore you with the details, but yes, I saw it.

My wife and I used to fight over who had to take the kids to movies like this (back when they were little). I learned to sleep in theaters.

I take my ipod. A few weeks ago I took my nieces to Mr. Magorium and I watched a few episodes of 30 Rock. It really works out nice.

Some kids' movies like Lion King or Toy Story are good. Alvin and the Chipmunks is not good.

I would rank Alvin and the Chipmunks right up there with waterboarding. You're a trooper.

I watched Rescue Dawn and Live Free and Die Hard this weekend. Rescue Dawn is pretty good, however it is based on a true story and I cant help but think that they vastly exaggerated what happened especially how easy it was to escape from the prison camp.
Also Live Free and Die Hard is a typical guy movie, none of it is realistic but its fun to watch.
