Default Romney, crazy like a fox?

Pulling his ads in FL and SC send a very clear message to the GOP--I'm on life-support here. You want McCain, Huckabee, and Giuliani? Go ahead.

It lowers expectations. It may paradoxically increase donations.

Is Romney calling the GOP electorate's bluff?

That would be a balls to the wall thinking, and seriously dangerous strategy.

That is what he did, though. He is all in in Michigan.

But Michigan has not been friendly to Romneys as if I recall correctly, his family has lost many elections there.

All he did was pull ads. The message I took from that is that he thought the ads stunk, or at least were not working. Has he otherwsie announced that he is abandoning those states?

Don't you think what he did is tantamount to abandoning those states?

No.

What if he does this, focus his energies on winnable states and then build momentum to new ads there?

Pundits tend to put too much stock into each sneeze of a candidate.

I do not predict Romney to win, in fact I predict it to be McCain or Giuliani, but his demise is relished by you and Mike, so every little jump causes you a startle and jump for joy. Wait until he's dead before you party and piss on his grave.

Not opn its face. Will he make appearances? Will he make other ads? Will surrogates campaign? I am not following this as closely as you, but without more it does nmot look like abandonment to me.
