Default Do you think this guy used 'roids?

Karl Malone might do a lot of things, but Karl Malone know what best for Karl Malone and Karl Malone know Steroids not what best.

I always wondered that too. But even in college, you can see that he's got a big frame...and when he went pro...he worked out like nobodies business.

If I was a betting man..I'd say no. He worked at it too hard.

And I would say no way as well. Malone had a work ethic like few others in professional sports. It's why I think simply looking at pictures of a guy when he is 20 and a guy when he is 40 and say "look at the difference" it can be misleading.

Now, if you also see a steady dip in performance, followed by a huge upswing AND change in size (Bonds, Clemens both come to mind) then yeah, I think you might be able to use it as evidence.

The reasons I've suspected Clemens since he left Boston are 1)he was fat and slovenly and washed up when he left then he shows up in Toronto all lean and ripped and 2) his fastball actually rose in speed after age 40. Number 2 is the biggest red flag.

Of course, maybe the end of his stint in Boston was a wake up call and so he got serious about exercise and diet.
