Favre and top QB list
I'm not a big NFL guy but this is my opinion on the top QB's since I've become aware.
1. Montana 2. Brady 3. Manning 4. Young 5. Elway 6. Marino 7. Favre 8. Aikman Favre is a bit overrated, IMHO. |

How much weighting do you put in your formula for "it"?

Wow, you have Aikman that far down and Peyton that far up?

Aikman doesn't deserve to be on the list. Great supporting cast. No mobility. Poor stats. Nope, doesn't deserve it.

Young is too high, Favre too low and Aikman shouldn't even be in the room.

I know, I know. Memories.
1988. Aikman v Peete...., #2 SC vs #6 FUCLA. Peete was just diagnosed with the measles. The game was for bragging rights, Pac 10 berth, and to maintain each teams Top 10 ranking. SC locked down the Bruins in the Rose Bowl and pulled out the win......only to lose next week at home to #1 Notre Dame. ND went on to win its last National Championship. That sucked (but that Irish team was dang good that year...they beat Miami, too) Still, even an SC fan can't deny Aikman was an amazing talent. He had a stellar NFL career. I would put him WAY ahead of Peyton and fairly high on the list.

No offense, but that is kinda goofy list. Manning ahead of Favre? I love Young, but he is a bit too high as well. I would drop Manning a lot, Brady a bit as well. When I think of great QBs over the past 20 years, Montana, Elway, Marino and Favre are at the top of that list in no particular order. Brady is getting there. Manning has a ways to go.

Favre is vastly overrated. He is given way too much credit.
He was entertaining, I will grant you. But "gunslinger" is not a compliment. |

Aikman should not make any list and Joe Montana should not be number 1 on any list. I would probably put Brady ahead of even Montana right now.
