Father of Warren Jeffs and former FLDS prophet. Actually kind of impressive guy unlike Warren. I didn't know that the polyg compound at the mouth of Little Cottonwood Canyon was his and was actually where he ran the FLDS.

It's been an interesting downhill slide for the FLDS. The bottom line is that if it weren't for the welfare issues and the underage marriages ... society would likely just leave them be.

Yep, that was the Jeffs compound there at the mouth of the canyon. They pretty much kept to themselves and there never seemed anything that would warrant a closer look.

My understanding is that Warren was a lot more hardline in his polygamy beliefs than Rulon was.

his compound and ran into the FLDS constantly. Even changed one of their flat tires once. they were nice people. Only met Rulon once.

I asked if SeattleUte lived in the compound. He had a puzzled look on his face.
