Default Tim Kaine is the best choice for Obama

Under Kaine, Virginia has been rated by Forbes as the #1 state to do business in the country for the 3rd consecutive year (with the 1st under Warner) .

Northern Virginia has become a liberal utopia, with wealth and education levels rising equitably, all from a critical government push (especially in infrastructure).

Kaine has supported Obama over Hilllary from the beginning.

He was also a Catholic missionary in Honduras, someone we can connect with.

Biden is a racist Walmart-basher.

I'm hoping Biden is selected, as he is guaranteed entertainment.

Kaine isn't very popular in Virginia, also lacks experience, isn't well-known, and is largely riding on the coattails of Warner (who would have been my first pick, if he wanted the job).
Kaine IS popular in Virginia. He rode Warner's popularity into office but he's done a phenomenal job as his protoge.

no kidding, pile this on top of that he was surprised to see an intelligent African-American fit for office.

but...this won't be a political liability since dems always get away with slurs.

Does Biden excite Dems? To me he seems like a throwback to the clunky old Dems of the past that couldn't beat W (Gore and Kerry and that buch; throw Dodd in there as well).

So, from what you describe, Obama figures he has this thing wrapped up. Biden is functional pick (I can work with this guy), versus a strategic campaign pick (He'll help me get elected).

Biden = energy and the real mccoy.

He can attack from a real place. He's not a suit, with good hair and good looks. He's legit and says the truth--and that of course, is what makes him unappealing as a presidential candidate. He doesn't know how to lie.

Sigh... unfortunately I'm starting to wonder if Hillary might be the best choice, at this point. She could help pull votes in some NE swing states, the disaffected women would be more inclined to show up.

The problem is all the baggage. Geez, that's a lot of baggage.

Only a fool would allow his death to be the only thing to prevent a Clinton from ruling the free world.

We all believe that Obama may very well be assassinated. If Clinton is VP, we will be SHOCKED if he ISN'T assassinated.
