Mike Waters has doubled down on Jimmer Fredette
It is well known, even storied I dare say, that I have mocked Jimmer in the past. That Jimmer was so slow, even I could guard him.
I have a friend that I play ball with a couple times a week. He is LDS, and he played small-time college ball. He has gotten sick of me talking about Jimmer and is very down about his chances to play in the NBA. So today I start again on Jimmer and my friend says "Jimmer will not be drafted, let's put money on it." So now I gots real money riding on Jimmer, that he will be drafted by an NBA club. If Jimmer gets drafted, he has to take me and my wife out to Benihana's (his idea, not a place I would have picked). If Jimmer is not drafted, I have to buy him a new spalding TF-1000. Of course, after the bet was placed, I realized I had been ripped off. If I win the bet, I have to go eat out at a place I don't like, and pay for babysitting! Jimmer, I have a lot riding on you man. Don't let me known. I want that sizzling beef, and whatever it is that those freaks do at Benihana's! I would be SHOCKED, SHOCKED I tell you, if an NBA team didn't take a chance on Jimmer in the 2nd round. |

One of the five top stories on ESPN's NBA Draft page is about Jimmer making it in the NBA. SDSU's Kawhi Leonard also.
