On Christmas Music
I've been betrayed.
One of the only decent classic rock stations, as of last Friday, had already rolled over to 24/7 Christmas music. What's the likelihood that anyone that listens to a classic rock station actually wants to hear 24/7 Christmas stuff like, ever? Let alone on November 15th? Maybe next year we'll have it in time for Halloween. Or Year-round. I'm thinking this is a good excuse to buy a new car. One with an ipod port. |

A classic rock station?!?!?!?! Are you kidding me? Oh man, what is this world coming to?
There is a station here in SLC (not a rock station) that switched over on November 1st. They claim that it was based on listener feedback. Yikes. You need to invest in satellite radio. Either XM or Sirius. They are both good. It is so nice to not be at the mercy of the local stations. Hang in there Lisa. Our prayers are with you in your time of trial.

My decree:
Christmas music should be limited to one song per hour - max - and only after December first. If they insist on 24/7, it should be Christmas Eve and Day only. And "All I Want for Christmas is You," by Mariah Carey, should by played under no circumstances whatsoever. Christmas CDs by former American Idol contestants should be outlawed. Or used solely to force confessions from known terrorists. |

You know, your wife has excellent taste.
I have the CDs myself, and I enjoy torturing Jason with them. He finds them even less tolerable than you do. I also have Garth Brooks's The Magic of Christmas, which I highly recommend for further spousal abuse. If you ever want to hear a really REALLY bad Christmas album, this is the way to go. Unless of course you're brave enough for Cindi Lauper's Merry Christmas. |

No, no, no. That's impossible. No one could possibly hate those CD's more than I do.

Billy Idol rocks.
My favorite Christmas song would be "One Christmas Catalogue" by Captain Sensible. In fact other than "Shouldn't have given him a gun for Christmas" by Wall of Voodoo, that's about the only Christmas song I like.
